Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Tasmania is an extraordinary place for producing premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

In 2012 Freycinet Vineyard purchased the neighbouring property of Coombend, it provided an additional 5.75 Ha of vines and a 4.2 Ha olive grove. Since 2013 Freycinet Vineyard has been producing Extra Virgin Olive Oil along side our wines. The grove consisting of the Correggiola variety, enjoys the benefit of our cool climate in similar ways as the vines do. A slow ripening process ends in late July every year so the harvest is timed perfectly during the vines' winter dormancy. The final product is an elegant, yet full flavoured oil with optimal polyphenol levels which provides a spicy and peppery aftertaste.
