"Very light coral pink hue; spicy nutty and very detailed aromas that suggest some barrel work. The palate is rich and savoury again with nutty flavours along with honey and dried fruits, and fragrant herbs—there's a lot going on. The palate is likewise, generous and yet refined and compact, the finish clean, dry and lasting. An excellent food wine."

"This wine appeared in the top six picks for both Baverstock and Mauritzen. Baverstock noted that “the light salmon colour here tells me that a sophisticated drop is at hand – possibly a French-inspired style. The explosion of red apple, fresh green strawberry, and raspberry fruit notes from this fizz is incredible. With its bursting bubbles, this sparkling rose builds texture not just with tannin, but also with its exquisite effervescence. It’s not a simple little thing, but full of masterful yeast complexity, including brioche, toast and honey notes. In fact, I just love the yeastiness it brings – it’s creamy, it’s mouth filling, and it has a delightful savoury edge.” Mauritzen described it as “some wines are a sommelier’s delight, and this is absolutely one of them. The nose is almost savoury, singing with notes of fresh yeast, buttered brioche buns, and toasted sourdough – I was hooked before taking a sip. The palate delivers a whole other array of delights, bringing brightness in the form of fresh lemon and grapefruit, balanced by a saline edge and umami tones – maybe from age, or from some genius blending work, but they really sing in this wine. There’s also jammy strawberries, and a surprising and delightful note almost reminiscent of fresh figs. The vibrant, chalky acidity continues to deliver freshness throughout – much-needed in a wine with so much earthy depth. I want to use this wine to wash down roast duck and pancakes smothered in Hoisin sauce, because it will absolutely hold its own in a pairing like that. I tip my hat – this wine tells a story, and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.” - Young Gun of Wine Deep Dive, Australia's Best Sparkling Rosé
Commencing in 1993, Radenti Sparkling was the first premium Sparkling wine produced on the East Coast of Tasmania and has earned a formidable reputation for quality over the years, winning a swag of trophies and gold medals at various wine shows.
Now celebrating its 33rd year of production, Radenti is one of a select few grower-producer sparkling wines produced in Australia, with its fruit entirely sourced from a single vineyard on a cooler part of the estate, dedicated to the production of traditional method sparkling wine.
Radenti Grand Vintage Rosé 2017 is the inaugural release of this wonderful style, and a very exciting moment in the evolution of our sparkling wine program. Overall blend proportions are 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir.
Fruit for Radenti Grand Vintage Rosé 2017 was grown on a cooler part of the estate, positioned 5 kilometres west of the main Freycinet vineyards, where remarkable delicacy of flavour is attained through careful management and slow ripening. This creates the foundation for a wine with true elegance and finesse. Further complexity is gained through long elevage in tank on lees and a further 4 years of maturation on lees. Patient, unhurried winemaking has resulted in a with an added layer of delicacy, finesse and elegance.
